Basic knowledge of stamping die terminology
1. Curl
Curling is a stamping process in which the edges of the processed components are wound into almost closed circles. The axis of a curled circle is linear.
2. Rolling edge
Crimping edges is a stamping process in which the upper edge of the hollow component is wound into an almost closed circle.
3. Drawing
Stretching is a stamping process in which straight wool or machined parts are bent. The curved surface is mainly formed by the extension of the material at the bottom of the punch.
4. Pull a curve
Bending is a stamping process in which bending deformation is achieved under the combined action of tension and bending moment, and the entire bending cross-section is subjected to tensile stress.
5. Drum drum
Bulging is a stamping process in which hollow or tubular components extend radially outward. Slicing is a stamping process in which a part of the forming process is divided into several parts.
6. Training level
Leveling is a stamping process that can improve the flatness of some or all flat components.
7. Wave formation
This is a stamping process that relies on the extension of the material to form partial depressions or protrusions in the process components. The change in material thickness in a wavy structure is unintentional, that is, a small change in thickness naturally occurs during the deformation process and is not a design requirement.
8. Bending
Bending is a stamping process in which a material undergoes plastic deformation under pressure to bend into a shape with a certain curvature.
9. Chisel
Chisel is the process of punching or stamping using a chisel mold with sharp edges. There was no death under the chisel. The pad under the material is just a flat plate, and most of the materials to be punched are non-metallic.
10. Deep hole punching
Deep hole punching is a punching process where the diameter of the hole is equal to or less than the thickness of the material to be punched.
11. Blanking
Blanking is a stamping process that separates materials along a closed contour. The separated materials become workpieces or machined parts, most of which are flat.
12. Contraction
Necking is a stamping process in which hollow or tubular components are pressurized to reduce pressure.
13. Plastic surgery
Forming is a stamping process that relies on the flow of materials to change the shape and size of the process components to ensure the accuracy of the workpiece.
14. Refurbishment
Decoration is a stamping process that involves cutting a small amount of material along the contour or inner contour to improve edge smoothness and verticality. The refurbishment process usually also increases dimensional accuracy.
15. Rotating hole
Flanging is a stamping process that transforms the material around the inner hole into a side flange.
16. Flanging
Cuffles are a stamping process that transforms the material around the material curve into a short side edge.
17. Deep drawing is a stamping process in which straight wool or processed parts become hollow parts, or the shape and size of the hollow parts are further changed. During stretching, hollow components are mainly formed by allowing materials outside the bottom of the punch to flow into the mold.
18. Continuous drawing
Continuous stretching is a type of
