The service life of metal stamping die is related to various factors such as structural design of stamping die, selection of stamping die steel, heat treatment, surface treatment, mechanical processing and grinding, wire cutting process, stamping equipment, stamping materials and processes, lubrication of stamping die, poor maintenance and repair level, etc.
Among the various factors that cause the failure of stamping parts molds, about 25% are due to improper structure and material selection of stamping parts molds, about 45% are due to improper heat treatment, and about 10% are due to process problems; Equipment issues, lubrication issues, and other factors account for about 20%. After the installation of metal stamping parts, attention should be paid to maintenance to prevent rust and erosion. In daily use, it is necessary to close and open gently to prevent damage caused by hard closing and opening.
Maintenance and upkeep of metal stamping parts molds:
1. Establish a mold ledger, develop a mold maintenance record, and establish a regular maintenance system.
2. Paint the surface of the mold body to prevent rusting.
3. Hardware accessories should be installed last, and door and window locks, handles, etc. should be assembled after the window and door leaves are inserted into the frame to ensure accurate position and flexible opening and closing.
4. Install hardware with fastening screws, and a metal lining plate must be installed inside. The thickness of the lining plate should be at least twice the pitch of the fastener. Do not fasten on plastic profiles or use non-metallic liners.
5. Regularly maintain and replace accessories such as mold punches, springs, thimbles, pull rods, safety side pins, safety screws, side shields, punching waste channels, etc
6. Before installing the mold, the upper and lower surfaces of the mold should be cleaned to ensure that the installation surface of the mold and the working surface of the press are correctly matched
7. The sliding hinge shall not be made of aluminum alloy material, but stainless steel material.
8. For sliding windows with a width exceeding 1 meter, or doors and windows with double-layer glass installed, double pulleys or dynamic pulleys should be installed.
9. The model, specification, and function of hardware accessories should comply with the current national standards and relevant regulations, and match the selection of plastic steel doors and windows.
10. Pay attention to maintenance after installation to prevent rusting and erosion. In daily use, it is necessary to close and open gently to prevent damage caused by hard closing and opening.
